Hi
Some further information to all those struggling with the current internet setup:
If you want to sign up with any ISP, don't use their disks, especialy if you have already set up a different ISP. Go and sign up online instead, to get a "clean" setup.
Why?
Because ISP disks have not been made with much thought or consideration for any other ISPs you may want to use. Consequently, they are likely to delete, overwrite, or corrupt data from any other ISP that you have already installed on your computer.
LibertySurf and X-Stream are now completely merged.
The following ISPs have been overwhelmed with demand, and won't be accepting any new clients until their systems and support have been upgraded to cope:
LibertySurf, TelWest, NTL and CallNet0800.
It may be of interest that LibertySurf is doubling it's help staff as well. They take customer service seriously, unlike the former X-Stream and some others I could mention.
Some new ISPs are coming.
